With the award winning periCORE SPE communication module, Perinet has developed the world's first single pair Ethernet-based electronics for direct integration into simple sensors and actuators. Accordingly, the periCORE module is the central element in the Perinet Seamless IoT Connectivity System.

With its small form factor and equipped with a variety of interfaces, our module is designed for installation by sensor and actuator original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The periCORE SPE communication module enables seamless integration of the field level into the IP world via Ethernet and transforms these formerly passive peripheral devices into active, "smart" network participants. The direct network capability of the field devices creates new possibilities in the efficient implementation of digitalization projects and IoT, IIoT and Industrie 4.0 use cases that are controlled by IT systems at the operational level.

Perinet Smart Components Digitalization of existing systems through simple equipment modification

The periCORE SPE communication module is also integrated into our Perinet Smart Components to help you achieve fast results when retrofitting existing (brownfield) machine parks. With just three Smart Components, the seamless 1-to-1 connection of a sensor or actuator at the field level to IT systems can be established via Ethernet. Even more complex systems with several sensors or actuators can be provided quickly and economically with the help of Perinet Smart Components. We thereby reduce the components required for Sensor2Cloud systems and expand the functionality of the sensors and actuators while at the same time reducing the effort required for provision.

periSTART standard media converter

This periSTART media converter is the interface between your existing infrastructure and the Perinet Seamless IoT Connectivity system.

It converts between Fast Ethernet (100BASE-TX) and Single Pair Ethernet (100BASE-T1), thereby enabling seamless communication between the field level and your IT-system or data hub, and provides a 24VDC feed to attached sensors and actuators. periSTART bundles data and power supply and transmits both to the Perinet Seamless IoT Connectivity system via the 4-wire periLINE hybrid SPE cable.

It is the starting point to your field-level sensor and actuator network to facilitate a wide variety of IoT

Our periSWITCH allows point-to-multi-point connection of several sensors or actuators in the Seamless IoT Connectivity system. Thereby, the system can be expanded as desired and adapted to all environments and conditions, from intelligent buildings to industrial production lines.

This periNODE smart adapter has 2 in-/output channels and connects directly to sensors or actuators with 24V GPIO via a 4*0.25mm2 cable.

It turns the analogue, passive sensor or actuator into a smart, active network participant that communicates via ethernet with any IT-system or data hub.

periNODE permits the configuration of data communication intervals to meet user-specific demand, thereby reducing network traffic and redundant data collection.

The periLINE hybrid SPE cable connects Perinet Smart Components within the Seamless IoT Connectivity system.

It carries both data and power supply and, thereby, facilitates easy and straight-forward deployment.

Assorted cable lengths allow for adaptation to any given use case, setting or environment, from industrial production lines to commercial applications and smart buildings, to name but a few.

periMICA edge computer New concept for flexibility in your applications

The award-winning Modular Industry Computing Architecture has been taken up and redesigned by Perinet. Thanks to the flexible, modular approach, the periMICA edge computer can be adapted as needed. Depending on the application and environment, different hardware modules and software apps can be combined from a construction kit and extended with own hardware and software elements.

The successful combination of industry-standard hardware and open source-based software has been retained in order to take over decentralized tasks in the field. The platform is based on a secure Linux system, applications run in independent software containers. In addition to the compact and robust IP67 aluminum housing, periMICA will soon also be available as an IP20 version for installation in the control cabinet.
